STOP PRESS - EXTRA LONDON COURSE
We have responded to your requests for a pre-Christmas Course. Central London on 10th and 11th December 2011. We will try and give places to everyone who wishes, but may have to limit this, so book early.
Many of you have contacted us through the website asking us to consider a pre-Xmas course for a variety of reasons - getting started early on the revision, or in some cases, finals in January!! We have obliged!

Congratulations!!
Finalmed wishes to congratulate Dr Farzana Hakim, one of our long standing tutors on her success in the MRCPCH examination in Paediatrics.
Not only did she pass the Paediatric exam, but she has previously passed the MRCP examination. Talk about comprehensive medical knowledge! Farzana has also recently started lecturing on our courses in addition to her small group teaching which continues to be highly rated by students, most recently on the London course last February.

Cambridge Discount / Refund!!!
Finalmed has secured a significant discount on the cost of providing the Cambridge course. We wish to pass this saving directly to the students attending and have dropped the course price by £20, effective immediately.
We will refund the £20 to all students already booked.
We accept that this may put pressure on the remaining places, so if you are considering booking, we would advise you not to delay.

2010-11 Courses Now Available for Booking
Finalmed is pleased to announce the 2010-2011 UK Courses. This year we are taking Finalmed north to Edinburgh in addition to our London and Cambridge courses.
Book now as places are limited on the most unique, interactive and personal course available.

Official Recognition for Finalmed's unique approach!
The results of our Finalmed study were presented recently at the AMSE (Association for the Study of Medical Education) AGM in Cambridge.
Mr Simon Buczacki highlighted the findings of the study showing significant improvement in student confidence and in effectiveness in student presenting. These findings were irrespective of university, or initial self-confidence levels and indeed was comparable in both UK students and UAE students.
Our study and findings generated considerable interest and was extremely positively received.

2011 Courses
The 2010 academic year concluded last weekend with a very full and successful London course. We hope to have dates for 2010-11 up on the website in the near future.

London 2 - This Weekend!!
Finalmed concludes the academic year with our final course in London this weekend. The venue is the Royal College of General Practitioners. Directions are available here.

Registration is at 08:00hrs with lectures commencing at 08:30hrs.

Finalmed and JASME
Finalmed Director Dr William Alazawi was a member of the teaching faculty at the JASME Student Tutor Training Day.
Finalmed's Dr William Alazawi was invited by JASME (Junior Association for the Study of Medical Educaiton) to teach on their recent one day workshop for students interested in teaching, to help them develop their teaching skills alongside Dr Dason Evans and Professor Parveen Kumar among others.
Finalmed hopes to work more closely with JASME in the future as part of its committment to supporting Medical Education across the UK.

The Finalmed Prize
Finalmed is very pleased to announce that submissions are now being accepted for the Finalmed Prize. There are 2 National Prizes awarded annually, one to a medical student of any year, and one to a Junior Doctor who is within 2 years of graduation.
