Your use of this website at www.finalmed.com ("this website") is governed by these terms and conditions of use. You may print and keep a copy of these terms and conditions of use. Finalmed reserves the right to change the terms and conditions at its discretion by changing them on this webpage of this website.

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. Each party irrevocably agrees to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England over any claim or matter arising under or in connection with these terms and conditions.

Bookings made from within the UK or the EC

  1. Definitions
    1. "Confirmed booking" means a firm agreement between Finalmed and the candidate for their attendance on a specific course on specified dates where Finalmed has received payment in full of the relevant course fee.
    2. "Provisional booking" is a tentative agreement between Finalmed and the candidate for their attendance on a specific course on specified dates where Finalmed has not received payment in full of the relevant course fee and is subject to these additional conditions;
      1. Where a course is close to the course limit and about to sell out, Finalmed will email all provisional bookings to inform them that their provisional booking is being released to all students on a first come-first served basis.
    3. "Waiting list" means a provisional booking for which no place is available.

    1. Booking forms are available online.
  3. Fees and Payment
    1. Online Bookings made using a Credit Card or Debit Card will be processed as soon as possible and upon acceptance the application will become a confirmed booking and the Credit or Debit Card will be charged.
    2. We do accept cheque payments. To use this facility, first please go through the normal booking process so that we can capture your details and which course you are interested in. Once you have done this, please use our contact form for details of where to send the cheque payment. Cheques should be made payable to "Finalmed" and not to any of the individual partners / tutors.
    3. Bookings with a cheque for payment in full upon acceptance will become provisional bookings until such time as the accompanying cheque is cleared whereupon the application will become a confirmed booking.
    4. If booking forms are received when there are no longer places available the application will be placed on the waiting list. Credit/Debit Card transactions and cheques will not be presented for payment whilst the application remains on the waiting list. If a place becomes available it will be offered to the applicant at the top of the waiting list and upon acceptance the fee will be charged. The booking will only become confirmed after funds have been received by Finalmed.
    5. Finalmed reserves the right to alter fees/prices from those published at any time. Any increase in fees will not affect any booking where the fees have already been paid in full.
    6. All fees are quoted in British Pounds Sterling (GBP).
    7. Receipts will be issued on request only.
    8. We are not currently registered for V.A.T.
    9. You will receive a booking confirmation email from us. Where your booking is provisional, you will still receive an email from us, but we usually allow 3-4 working days before contacting you in case the payments are delayed for any reason.
  4. Discounts
    1. Any early-booking discounts are offered on a first-come first-served basis and are clearly stated on the relevant booking forms. As we reach our quota or deadline, the booking forms will be replaced with the full-rate forms for subsequent bookings on that particular course.
  5. Your right to cancel & cancellation charges
    1. Finalmed reserves the right to cancel a course without notice. In such circumstances, Finalmed will return any payment received without deduction.
    2. If Finalmed is forced to cancel the remainder of a course after is has commenced participants will receive a refund proportionate to the duration of the course they have lost.
    3. Should you find you are unable to attend then cancellation charges do apply as follows;
      1. Notice exceeding 21 calendar days from the first day of the course in question - FULL REFUND to you with no charges.
      2. Notice between 8 and 21 calendar days from the first day of the course in question, an administration charge of £20 (GBP) will be deducted.
      3. Notice of less than 8 calendar days from the first day of the course in question then the FULL FEE will be charged.
      4. No notice, no attendance = no refund.
  6. Privacy Policy, Data Protection & Communications
    1. Finalmed does not sell, trade or rent your personal information to others. Your details will be added to a Finalmed database in order to process your booking, to assist with our course planning and so that you can be kept up to date with relevant details of our services.
    2. We ask for your telephone number so we can phone you if you haven't turned up on the first day of the course. We ask for your address so we can send you a cheque refund in the unlikely event we have to cancel a course and if we cannot process the refund any other way. We ask for your university details because we try to tailor the course relevant to sections of our audience.
    3. You will always receive a confirmation email from the domain "finalmed.com" in the format firstname.surname@finalmed.com or xyz@finalmed.com (e.g. where xyz = confirmation). If in doubt, you should add this domain to your white-list, or list of known or trusted domains. The subject heading will be in the following format: "Finalmed Venue Date Clinical Presenting for Finals". It is worth checking your junk mail or bulk-mail folders if you have not received any confirmation from us. Please contact us if there are any queries or problems.
    4. Under the UK Data Protection Act, you are entitled to view any data we hold about you, upon payment of the appropriate fee (subject to a maximum of £50). You are entitled to correct any errors in the data. Finalmed is obliged by law (Credit Regulations Act) to hold all data for a minimum of 6 years.

  • Terms and Conditions for non UK bookings
    1. Please be aware that terms and conditions for candidates booking from outside the UK or outside the EC may vary from these terms and conditions. Please contact us for specific information relating to your world-wide location.

    • Finalmed Courses

    1. Dress
      1. Dress code is casual; there will be no patients on the courses.
    2. Course Materials
      1. We have no objection to medical students downloading our materials or making copies of our handouts for their friends providing that:
        1. You do not attempt to make a profit from this
        2. Our logo is clearly identifiable on all copies, and
        3. You (and/or your friends) notify us of any errors you find.
      2. We take every effort to ensure the accuracy of our lectures and course materials. However, should you find any mistakes, please contact us so that we may correct them. Similarly, positive feedback is of course, always welcome. Images & material used on this website are of our creation, purchased by us, or obtained in good faith from the public domain. If you have reason to believe any of this material to be your property, you are asked to kindly notify us so that we may take corrective action.
    3. Independent Equal Access
      1. If you have notified us of any additional requirements due to a disability or any other reason, you will be contacted to discuss your specific residential and course requirements.
    4. Conduct by course attendees
      1. All persons attending our courses are required to treat everyone else with respect and dignity. Disruptive or disrespectful behaviour will not be tolerated. It shall be at the sole discretion of the senior tutor of the course to require anyone failing to comply with this reasonable requirement to leave the course and under such circumstances refunds of fees to the individuals requested to leave will not be available.
    5. General Conditions
      1. Finalmed reserves the right, when necessary, to alter the venue from the one specified. If this is the case we will inform you as soon as possible and provide you with information relating to travel directions, local accommodation etc. We will obviously endeavour to find a suitable venue as close as possible to the location of the original one.

    1. Accuracy of information and disclaimer
      1. Finalmed will use its reasonable endeavours to ensure that all information on this website, and our products is accurate. However, this website and material available on this website is provided for general information purposes only and is not intended to provide comprehensive information or guidance on the subjects covered.
      2. You acknowledge that any reliance on any information or other material contained on this website & our products is entirely at your own risk.
      3. Nothing in these terms and conditions of use shall exclude our liability to you for fraudulent misrepresentation by Finalmed, its Agents or its employees or for death or personal injury resulting from Finalmed's negligence or that of our employees.

Subject to the above, you acknowledge that our liability to you for direct loss under arising out of or in connection with your use of this website shall be limited to £100 (one hundred pounds sterling) for any one incident or series of incidents. We shall, however, in no circumstances be liable to you under or in connection with your use of this website for any indirect, economic or consequential loss whatsoever; loss of revenue; loss of profits; loss of business; loss of goodwill or reputation; loss of use; any deletion, corruption, destruction, loss or removal of data or any professional charges.

In addition, you acknowledge that our website may be unavailable owing to maintenance, but where possible we will carry out such maintenance outside core operating hours to minimise the period of any disruption.
